Jay Spain (Producer, Cinematographer) is a nationally recognized filmmaker based in Raleigh, North Carolina. A graduate of North Carolina State University, Spain founded his own production company, The Communications Group, through which he has created award-winning films, videos and media productions. In the independent film world, he has co-produced and photographed several features, winning an international prize for Chesterfield, a black and white film noir. With a passion for the documentary genre, Spain filmed and edited numerous broadcast and educational films for various clients before directing his first feature documentary, Live and Let Go: An American Death. The film has won public and critical acclaim on the film festival circuit and was broadcast first on South Carolina public television in 2004.   Back To Main Bios Page
